REL Carbon Special
Distancing itself from other special edition REL Subwoofers, the Carbon Special employs a completely new cabinet, driver and filter designs created solely for the Carbon Special. The newest BlackWidow carbon fiber driver delivers confident dynamic balance as it moves through a full 4 inch stroke. Together with the NextGen 5 thousand Watt amplifier, the Special effortlessly delivers both low and high frequencies that fill out the music.
The newest REL filters are so good that the name, "PerfectFilters”, is no understatement. Elevating the low bass performance for a mid-chassis design and creating a more open soundstage benefits audio systems both in technical performance, and home theater use.
What really creates such incredible performance is the use of the BlackWidow 12 inch driver within the Carbon Special. The driver itself is made of lightweight and resilient carbon fiber that hits hard. Despite it’s explosive musical presence, the driver itself was specially created to be very quiet, allowing for a greater dynamic range. The cincher for the Carbon Special was the inner suspension retuning, making it possible to take full advantage of the new driver and technology.
